Function
As you may already know, Zojirushi started with the manufacturing of vacuum insulated products.
Based on vacuum insulation technology, we have since produced various kitchen, living and commercial products.
Manufactured a tabletop carafe, the "Pelican Pot", which was to become the basis of Zojirushi vacuum insulation products. The model changed from the portable bottle type to the tabletop carafe type. It became one of our longtime hit products. Air Pot® Dispenser “Osudake”, meaning “Just Push” launched. Water is conveniently dispensed with a single push of a button, no tilting required. At present, we are manufacturing different kinds of products to fit the diverse needs of our customers, commercial or household.

Matching multiple occasions
Ideal for keeping drinks hot or cold for long hours. Use when you want to serve coffee with style, or have iced water close at hand to keep yourself hydrated. With vacuum insulation, the carafe can be filled with icy cold drinks and on the table without the annoyance of condensation on the outside. Air Pot® dispensers use air to dispense. Drinks can be dispensed without tilting the pot, which makes it perfect for keeping a large capacity of hot or cold beverages. With vacuum insulation, the Air Pot® dispenser can be filled with icy cold drinks without condensation on the outside.

Vacuum liners come in stainless or glass

Both have pros and cons. Which is right for you?

They are excellent at temperature retention, have easy to clean surface that flavor or odor of contents do not adhere to, and are susceptible to breakage (inner liners may be replaced). They are indestructible, have excellent temperature retention with recommended pre-use preparation, and flavor or color of contents may adhere to surface.

What is vacuum insulation?
Vacuum insulation provides the best heat retention. Vacuum means the air between the outer and inner layers of the stainless steel or glass has been removed to create a vacuum insulation. It blocks heat from transferring through air which greatly minimizes the temperature change of your drink.

What is heat retention?
Heat retention is the amount of heat an object can maintain for a period of time. A vacuum insulated
thermal carafe or Air Pot® dispenser can maintain the temperature much longer than a non-insulated container.
On the left is Heat Retention. Coffee made at 6am in the morning will still be hot to serve in the afternoon. On the right is Cold Retention. Cold beverages filled at 6am in the morning will still be pretty cold to serve in the afternoon.
Thermal Carafe AFFB-10 / Heat retention based on water at a starting temperature of 203°F (95°C), cold retention based on water at a starting temperature of 40°F (4°C), both at room temperature of 68°F (20°C).
Air Pot® Dispenser AAPE-22 / Heat retention based on water at a starting temperature of 203°F (95°C), cold retention based on water at a starting temperature of 40°F (4°C), both at room temperature of 68°F (20°C).

Choose by vacuum liner type:
The main difference is durability and ease of cleaning. If you have breakage problems, the stainless steel liner is recommended. Stainless steel is virtually indestructible except to bleach and chlorine. Glass liners have a higher incidence of breakage, but are easier to clean away coffee and tea stains.line
