This slightly sweetened coffee dessert also known as "coffee jelly" is a popular dessert in Japan. Pour cream over the gelatin before serving. The recipe is easy to make - perfect to enjoy with your coffee loving friends!
Fill Zojirushi water boiler & warmer with water and set temperature to 208°F.

In a small bowl, place 3 tablespoons of water, sprinkle an envelope of gelatin and let stand 1 minute to bloom.

In a medium bowl, place instant coffee, sugar, pour boiling water and stir until coffee and sugar dissolve completely.

Add bloomed gelatin from step 2 to the sweetened coffee and stir until gelatin dissolves completely.

Add cold water to the coffee mixture and mix well. Pour into a small glass container and refrigerate until firm, about 3 hours.

Dip bottom of the baking pan in warm water (not included in the ingredients list) for 20-30 seconds. Cut gelatin into small cubes, carefully scoop with a large spoon and distribute to serving cups.

Make the topping. In a small bowl, mix sugar into heavy cream. Top chilled gelatin with sweetened cream and serve.
