For our vegetarian friends, using colorful vegetable toppings make this pizza a feast for the eyes. And yes, it will taste as good as it looks.
Do you LOVE deep dish pizza? You can turn our Pizza – Pepperoni (Thick Crust) recipe into a deep dish one with just a few simple adjustments. Ready? Set…go! Note: this recipe is not gluten free.
Assemble your ingredients but prepare 1.5 times the amount. Use unsalted pizza sauce, also 1.5 times more. Grate 1 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese.
Get a 9” round baking pan and coat the bottom with oil. To make it easier to lift the pizza out of the pan after baking, lay strips of parchment paper as shown.
When your dough is ready roll it out on a flat surface sprinkled with flour to prevent sticking. Stretch the dough out into an 11” circular shape.
Center the dough into the pan and stretch it all around and up the sides of the pan until it gets to be about 1” high.
Spread your mozzarella cheese evenly across the surface of the dough. Add about 2/3 of your ingredients (besides the sauce) and spread out over the cheese.
Use all of your sauce and cover the ingredients. Next add the remaining 1/3 of the ingredients on top, and sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 40 minutes at 450 degrees. After it bakes let it rest for 5 minutes, then pull out of the pan using a turner to separate it and the parchment paper to pull it.
Yesss! Deep dish pizza ready to serve and enjoy.
Breadmakers are wonderful tools to have in any kitchen. Aside from built-in course functions that automatically take all kinds of breads from basic ingredients all the way to freshly baked, doing the time-consuming task of kneading and rising dough can all be done by a breadmaker. This means you expand your bake-at-home skills by just pressing a few buttons. Links to the pages below will show you the way so let’s get started!
We have two bread loaf sizes to choose from. A small loaf for a small family or for daily baking; and a larger size if you want to freeze for later.
Various functions can bake different bread types, or make dough for pasta or pizza, even cook jam. Some come with auto ingredient dispensers.
Our breadmakers have useful accessories included, so anyone can start baking as soon as you unbox your new baking partner!
There are 4 models available. Explore each to see which will work best for you and follow the graphic icons for easy explanations.
Here are a few pulled from the world wide web. (how long since you’ve heard that expression?) Why does the mushroom always get invited to the pizza parties? Because he’s such a fungi. How do you fix a broken pizza? With tomato paste. Why was the pizzeria desperate for business? Because they kneaded the dough. What did the Zen Master say at the pizza restaurant? “Make me one with everything.” And our favorite one for Father’s Day: What do you call it when a tired Dad makes pizza? A Papa Yawns Pizza. Here are some more ways to have fun with pizza.
What is a Pizzaiolo?
A Pizzaiolo is a chef who specializes in making pizzas and specially trained to make the authentic Italian kind. Did you know that?
Very controversial with pizza purists—who puts pineapple on a pizza? But Hawaiians cannot claim this pizza anyway; it was first served by a chef in Canada who popularized it.
To be honest, the only way we think this resembles a pizza at all is that it’s round and can be topped with anything you want, just like a pizza can. But it’s delicious in its own right!
See how Bert-san made this deep dish pizza in a cast iron pan and his toaster oven. You can make your own dough or use store-bought. And don’t tell anyone, but the secret is the ranch dressing.
